SBQ
Just to add on, for source-based question, once you make the wrong inference, the whole question is wrong. So, please make sure your inferences are logical. Follow the format that I went through in class. For civilisations, the inferences are usually related to the 5 features: Government and Control; Science and the arts; Complex beliefs; Various Occupations and Form of language and writing.
INFERENCES CANNOT BE LIFTED FROM THE SOURCE!!!

Sec 1 Express homework deadline & Test
TEST
WHEN? -----> WEEK 4 DURING LECTURE
WHAT WOULD BE TESTED? ------> CHAPTER 1 AND 2
ALL THAT YOU'VE LEARNT FROM WEEK 1 TO WEEK 3
i.e. Counting years, constructing timeline, source-based question (inference), definitions etc etc
Lastly, just to let you know that (if you still have not figured it out) history is a lot about memorising with understanding. Otherwise, you would not know how to do the questions. Take note, INFERENCE CANNOT CANNOT CANNOT BE COPIED FORM THE SOURCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2006 - The Indus Valley Civilisation (The Masters of the River) of India...
This is another interesting video on Indus Valley Civilisation. However, it is rather long so watch if when you're free and if you're interested.
1E
For those of you who are interested, I will post the photos/pictures and short paragraphs that I went through in class today. Please take a look.
Description of Shang King's Burial
In the center a deep pit was dug. The pit was considered the gateway to the underworld. This gateway was
protected by a sacrificial burial of an
armed warrior.
The Main wood chamber lay on top of his grave. The king's coffin lie in this
chamber filled with royal
treasure.
Around the main chamber, scattered in all four corners, lie the king's sacrificed servants to accompany him into the afterlife. Skulls were found facing
the center. More headless skeletonswere found then there
were heads to match. In
addition, there were chariots and their charioteers lying on the ramps
leading to the surface to the north and the south. They were said to be there
to protect the king from robbers and evil spirits.
